About mrs. ober
Hello! Welcome to my FACS site!
This is my 10th year teaching, but am currently in my third year teaching Family and Consumer Sciences. My background is elementary education, where I started teaching with the NYC DOE. After a few years I moved to Paris to study at Le Cordon Bleu where I earned a pastry diploma. From there I moved to Italy to work to develop french pastries for a local marketplace. I returned to New York to pursue a position as a cake designer and I worked and developed my passion for cakes working for cake designer Jason Ellis. I had to opportunity to assist in a Food Network Cake Challenge. I have since returned to teaching and obtained a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. I have experience as a contributing writer for Edible Long Island as well for ParentGuideNews.com. I love food and love to share my love of food and the culinary world with my students! |
